Okada successfully passed Hello! Project Egg Audition In June 2004, with 32 other people. Two months later, she joined former Morning Musume member Rika Ishikawa and "Tsunku♂ Produce Hello! Project Shin Unit" winner Erika Miyoshi to form a new J-pop group, v-u-den.

In early 2006, she joined the new Hello! Project kickball team Metro Rabbits H.P..

Okada was cast in the Japanese film Sukeban Deka: Codename = Asamiya Saki as Tae Konno, released on September 30, 2006.
