Kineda’s Idol of the Day is Manami Hashimoto. Born August 8, 1984 in Yamagata prefecture, Manami Hashimoto won Japan’s National Beauty Contest in 1997, which helped jump start her career onto the small screen. Her latest role as Uehara Mao on Shimokita Glory Days, a late-night Japanese comedy-romance drama, has brought her again to the spotlight. Several producers are currently eying Manami for roles in 2007 Japanese TV dramas, and it’s not hard to see why!
